Way to receive the Wisdom from God.
(Continuation from yesterday)
4. Come to Jesus – Solomon spoke God’s wisdom but JESUS is the WISDOM of GOD.
We acknowledge that true wisdom comes from God and that Jesus Christ is the embodiment of that wisdom . To trust in Christ and yield to His Holy Spirit is to walk in wisdom; as Christians, “we have the mind of Christ” (1 Corinthians 2:16).
Matthew 12:42 “The queen of the south will arise at the judgment with this generation and condemn it, for she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon, and behold something greater than Solomon is here”
1 Corinthians 1:24 “but to those whom God has called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God.”
1 Corinthians 1:30 “It is because of him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God—that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption.”
5. To have the “FEAR of the LORD” is the beginning of WISDOM.
The promise of Wisdom is that those who desire God’s truth can have it.
Proverbs 1:7 “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction”. When one is walking in the fear of the Lord, he or she is relying on God’s wisdom in the matters of everyday life and making whatever changes need to be made in light of God’s Word.
6. The Wisdom of God and the Wisdom of the world are NOT the Same.
Proverbs 1:7 Fear of the Lord is the foundation of true knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and discipline.
Luke 21:15 for I will give you utterance and wisdom which none of your opponents will be able to resist or refute.
There is a difference between “earthly wisdom” and the “wisdom that comes from above” – James 3:14–18 – “But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere. Peacemakers who sow in peace reap a harvest of righteousness.”
To tap into God’s wisdom, we must, first of all, desire it and ask in faith God for it.
7. The enemy may try to distract you from the wisdom of God so be a witness for the Kingdom of God to gain and protect it.
1 Peter 5:8 Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour.
Revelation 12:11 confirms that by a personal testimony of saints and by the Blood of Jesus, Archangel gain the victory. Then how much more we can gain the victory and protection when we share our personal testimony and apply the Blood of Jesus.
Those who have God’s wisdom will show it in how they live: James 3:13 “Who is wise and understanding among you? Let them show it by their good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom”.
Prayer: Abba Father, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; Courage to change the things I can; and wisdom to know the difference. Lord let us diligently study God’s Word, meditate on the Word, pray for wisdom, seek and ask it with all our hearts, and walk in the Spirit of God. God grant wisdom to us to serve your people. Lord, take me to the place where I am saved from my pride and arrogance and Christ’s humility is centre stage, where I’m lifting up clean hands and a pure heart to You. Father, I bend my knee and receive Your truth, I open my ears to receive Your counsel, I open my heart to receive Your eternal wisdom. I pray by the name of Jesus. Amen.
