LEARN and PRACTICE the WORD of GOD

The personality of God

Inner wounds and healing- Insecurity

Ephesians‬ ‭2:1-2‬ “As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins, in which you used to live when you followed the ways of this world and of the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now at work in those who are disobedient.”

Doubt is the root cause for insecurity.

Our enemy, the Devil, uses doubt to tempt us to question God’s goodness and plan. It is his oldest and most useful weapon—he used it against Eve in the garden of Eden (Genesis 3:1–8). When you are feeling insecure, remind yourself of the truth of who God is as He demonstrates to us in His Word.
Luke 24:38 “And he said to them, “Why are you troubled, and why do doubts arise in your hearts?”

Let us learn the face, cause of Insecurity and solutions.

Insecurity appear with different faces, are as follows.

* Lack of trust in God
* lack of confidence
* self-doubt
* diffidence – shyness
* unassertiveness
* Over humility
* over humbleness
* timidity
* uncertainty
* nervousness
* hesitancy
* inhibition
* Extra self-consciousness
* Over anxiety
* apprehension – fear that something bad will happen
* worry
* uneasiness
* vulnerability
* Prejudice thoughts
* defencelessness
* unguardedness
* Fantasy vs reality
* lack of protection
* perilousness – full of danger
* peril
* danger
* riskiness
* instability
* fragility
* frailty
* shakiness
* rockiness
* unsteadiness
* unreliability
* tenuousness – very weak
* Feeling of unworthiness
* Anticipating danger

Biblically, insecurity means Lack of trust in God. In other words, St. Paul defines insecurity means “confidence in the flesh.”

Insecurity and lack confidence are the two sides of a coin.

Reasons for insecurity

Dependent on own Works.
. Usually Insecurity link with own performance or attributes or attitudes or accomplishments.
. In certain cases, ‘unsecured’ people expects only negative result for every work.
. Always Mistakes found by others and get demotivated.
. Never be happy for any of the good work.
. St. Paul brings to us in our insecurity: Philippians 3:7-8 “But whatever gain I had, I counted as loss for the sake of Christ. Indeed, I count everything as loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord”. Paul would not say to us in our relentless insecurities, “I know you don’t feel worthy, but you are. God made you special.” If being special were the solution, our lives would be an endless cyle of crash diets and job searches. But these are only our pathetic attempts to flip to the top side of that same corroded coin. It would still be confidence in the flesh.

Prayer: Abba Father, I pray You would move the Spirit more boldly in my life. Help me crave your presence more than I crave sin. Help me to trust you for everything. Your forgiveness covers my sin and frees me from its penalty. I praise You for your presence and security in my life. Your presence in my life changes everything, empowering me to live each moment of every day, content in knowing You are in control. As I face today, Lord, remind me that no matter what happens, I can praise You! In Jesus’ Name, I pray. Amen.
