Psalm 140:12 I know that the LORD will maintain the cause of the afflicted And justice for the poor.
Isaiah 11:4 But with righteousness He will judge the poor, And decide with fairness for the afflicted of the earth; And He will strike the earth with the rod of His mouth, And with the breath of His lips He will slay the wicked.
Psalm 14:6 You would put to shame the counsel of the afflicted, But the LORD is his refuge.
Psalm 12:5 Because of the devastation of the afflicted, because of the groaning of the needy, Now I will arise, says the LORD; “I will set him in the safety for which he longs.”
Psalm 68:10 Your creatures settled in it; You provided in Your goodness for the poor, O God.

• Develop Your Faith (Trust) in God

Prayer: Lord, I pray for Your emotional, physical, and spiritual protection over myself and my descendants. Keep evil far from us, and help us to trust You as their refuge and strength. I pray You will guard our minds from harmful instruction, and grant us discernment to recognize truth. I pray You will make us strong and courageous in the presence of danger, recognizing that You have overcome and will set right all injustice and wrong one day. Help them to find rest in Your shadow, as they live in the spiritual shelter You provide for us. Let us know that the only safe place is in Jesus, and that their home on earth is only temporary. O LORD, You surround us with Your favour with Your shield. Yes, we have your protection. The Lord is my Helper, I will not fear. What can man do to me? Nothing! One who is in me is more power than everything. You are our Protector, Refuge, and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust. We pray by the name of Jesus. Amen
