Jesus Christ is a COMPASSIONATE God

1. Jesus was teaching to the multitude because he had COMPASSION on them…
Mark 6:34 When Jesus landed and saw a large crowd, he had COMPASSION on them, because they were like sheep without a shepherd. So he began teaching them many things.

2. Jesus had COMPASSION on harasses and helpless crowds…
Matthew 9:36 When he saw the crowds, he had COMPASSION on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.

3. Jesus Christ had COMPASSION on the hungry multitude – Jesus is concerned about not only our spiritual food but physical need too…
Mark 8:2 I have COMPASSION for these people; they have already been with me three days and have nothing to eat.

4. Jesus Christ had COMPASSION on the multitude in general and He healed all their sickness…
Matthew 14:14 When Jesus landed and saw a large crowd, he had COMPASSION on them and healed their sick.
His compassion on the multitude is mentioned five times.

5. Jesus Christ had COMPASSION on the blind and He healed him…
Matthew 20:34 Jesus had COMPASSION on them and touched their eyes. Immediately they received their sight and followed him.

6. Jesus Christ had COMPASSION on the demonized and He cast our unclean spirits…
Mark 9:22, 25 “It has often thrown him into fire or water to kill him. But if you can do anything, take PITY on us and help us.” When Jesus saw that a crowd was running to the scene, he rebuked the evil spirit. “You deaf and mute spirit,” he said, “I command you, come out of him and never enter him again.”

7. Jesus Christ had COMPASSION on the leper, He touched him, expressed His willingness and command to be clean…
Mark 1:40-41 A man with leprosy came to him and begged him on his knees, “If you are willing, you can make me clean.” Filled with COMPASSION, Jesus reached out his hand and touched the man. “I am willing,” he said. “Be clean!”

Prayer: Lord, thank you for all You do for me. Thank you for your provisions in my life. Thank you for Your divine compassion. I feel comforted and well cared by You. I cannot imagine my life in any other way. You have blessed me beyond what I could have imagined, in spite of me not deserving all these blessings. That is why I am on my knees before You today. Have mercy upon me and help me to spread Your mercy to others. We pray by the name of Jesus. Amen.
