A thought : Immanuel experience

Hebrews 13:6 So we say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid…”

The above Word initially spoken to Joshua on Joshua 1:5-6 “No one will be able to stand against you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you; I will never leave you nor forsake you. Be strong and very courageous….” (Similar or greater assurance God given to Moses also on Ex. 3:12)

The same Word spoken also by David to Solomon, 1 Chronicles 28:20 “Be strong and courageous, and do the work. Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord God, my God, is with you. He will not fail you or forsake you ..”

St Paul referring to the same promises in Hebrews 13:6, feels authorized to strengthen the expressions, as the Christian dispensation affords more consolation and confidence in matters of this kind than the old time.

This promise is made to those who are patiently bearing affliction or persecution for Christ’s sake; and may be applied to any faithful soul in affliction, temptation, or adversity of any kind. Trust in the Lord with your whole heart, do what He asked to do to you and never lean to our own understanding; for He said, “No, I will never leave you; not I: I will never, never cast you off.”

Prayer: Abba Father thanks for your promises and we SAY that we have a HELPER and we never be afraid. Thanks for Your great presence among us at all the time. We pray by the name of Jesus. Amen.
