2. Moses laid hand and anointed Joshua
Numbers 27:18–20 So the Lord said to Moses, “Take Joshua son of Nun, a man in whom is the spirit of leadership, and lay your hand on him. Have him stand before Eleazar the priest and the entire assembly and commission him in their presence. Give him some of your authority so the whole Israelite community will obey him.”
We read that as Moses came near to the end of his earthly ministry he asked the Lord to appoint a new leader over Israel who should be ready to take Moses’ place. The way in which the Lord ordained for Moses to make provision for this need is recorded
The way in which Moses carried out this commandment of the Lord is recorded in Numbers 27.22-23. Moses did as the LORD commanded him. He took Joshua and set him before Eleazar the priest and before all the congregation. And he laid his hands on him and anointed him, just as the Lord commanded by the hand of Moses. The result produced in Joshua is recorded in Deuteronomy 34:9: Now Joshua the son of Nun was full of the spirit of wisdom, for Moses had laid his hands on him; so the children of Israel heeded him, and did as the Lord had commanded Moses. From these passages we see that this act of Moses laying his hands upon Joshua was one of great significance both for Joshua individually and for the whole congregation of Israel collectively.
By this divine ordination, Moses accomplished two main purposes.
1 He transmitted to Joshua a measure of the spiritual wisdom and honor that he had received from God.
2 He publicly acknowledged before the whole congregation of Israel God’s appointment of Joshua as the leader who was to succeed him.

3. Aaron lifted up his hand toward the People. 
In Leviticus 9:22, where “Aaron lifted up his hand toward the People, and blessed them . . .” Following the sacrifices of the sin-offering, Aaron raised his hand over the people to show God’s acceptance of the Israelites. Aaron knew that the success of the sacrifices meant that God was pleased and had chosen to be with the children of Israel for another year in the journey toward the promised land.

4. Sacrificer laid hands on the animal. 
Another use of the ceremony appears In the worship of the tabernacle, where the sacrificer laid hands on the animal before it was slain, “And he(the sacrificer) shall put his hand upon the head of the burnt offering; and it shall be accepted for him to make atonement for him.” This indication that the animal represented the person making the sacrifice was important in that what was done to the animal represented what would be accomplished by the worshipper. Later in the sacrifices we find the ceremony occurring with the “scapegoat,” where the sins of the people were transferred by the laying on of hands upon the goat before it was sent into the wilderness. “And Aaron shall lay both his hands upon the head of the live goat, and confess over him all the iniquities of the children of Israel . . .” (Leviticus 16:21) an identification with the subject of the ceremony.

Prayer: Dear Abba Father, We believe that Jesus Christ came to this earth and He died for us and rose for us and seated at the right hand of You. Jesus our Savior, I submit all our dear friends in Your mighty hand one who needs healing from You. You are the divine Physician and the Author of our salvation, we pray that You’d uplift their faith to see Your power.. Let Your mercy speak for them. Let Your Word transform to them that You will send Your Word and heals us’. Now I command every powers of darkness that is causing pain, sickness or disease to leave in the mighty of Jesus! I command every evil spirit to leave from the temple of the Holy Spirit. dear Holy Spirit, we release your healing power to take over the body of sick people right now. Be healed. Be free. Right now! In Jesus name we pray, Amen.
