Exodus‬ ‭34:5-7‬ “Then the Lord CAME DOWN in the CLOUD and STOOD THERE with him and PROCLAIMED HIS NAME, the LORD. And he passed in front of Moses, proclaiming, “THE LORD, THE LORD, the COMPASSIONATE and GRACIOUS GOD, SLOW to ANGER, ABOUNDING in LOVE and FAITHFULNESS, MAINTAINING LOVE to THOUSANDS, and FORGIVING WICKEDNESS, REBELLION and SIN. ..”

the LORD CAME DOWN IN THE CLOUD and STOOD
– Immanuel – God is with us, the above verses guarantees the presence of God – presenting with the people of God since beginning. This is the second time God has met Moses on the mountain to make a covenant with the people of Israel.

GOD proclaimed HIS NAME:-
1. THE LORD, THE LORD

GOD proclaimed HIS ATTRIBUTES:-

1. The COMPASSIONATE God (Ps 86.15)
2. The GRACIOUS GOD (Ps 116.5)
3. He is SLOW to ANGER (James 1:19)
4. He is LOVE (1 John 4:8)
5. He is ABOUNDING in FAITHFULNESS (1 Cor 1:9)
6. He is FORGIVING WICKEDNESS, REBELLION and SIN

It is a great comfort that we will not be punished by our mistakes because GOD is FORGIVING GOD – Psalm‬ ‭32:1‬ ‭ “Blessed is the one whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered.”
– The most important fact is that Forgiveness is for the repentant and the refusal of forgiveness is for the unrepentant.

Prayer: Lord, how I thank You that when You forgive, You wash away all knowing in the present related to anything regrettable about my past. My Lord, You are the most merciful and compassionate God one who forgive my sins. If Your disposition was to judge, You would not have made any attempt to reconcile me to Yourself. And yet before the foundation of the world, Your steadfast love was already reaching out. Now, I come to you today, confessing, believing, and knowing that I am forgiven and blessed in Jesus’ name, Amen.
