Reasons and solutions for insecurity.
(Continuation from yesterday)

5. Relationship with ‘bad’ friends increase ‘insecurity’ in life. 

‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭15:33‬ ‭Do not be misled: ”Bad company corrupts good character.”

How to overcome from the bad company?

1. Take time to think through the situation.
Before you confront your friend, take some time to clarify your feelings and reflect on why you believe this person is a “bad” friend. The word “bad” is a broad term, which can encompass lots of different views.
Some questions to ask yourself include:

* Do they go against your values?
* Do they put you down constantly?
* Are they using you?
* Are they stealing your time, confidence, money etc?
* Are they stealing your relationship with your parents?
* Are they untrustworthy?
* Are they opportunist?
* Do they have any ‘spy’ nature?
* Do they ignore you?
* Is it affected to your health, wealth, sleep or appetite ?
* Are they selfish, emotionally draining friendship?
* Are spreading secrets?
* Are they blackmailing you?
* Do they have any other ‘different interest’?
* Did they cheat you?

If you find ‘yes’ from many of the above, then:-
1. Be honest as possible about your motives for ending the friendship.
2. Ask an advice from an elder?

2. Spend Time with Lord.
Reduce spend time with bad character and spend more time with God.

Psalm‬ ‭102:13‬ ‭ “You will arise and have compassion on Zion, for it is time to show favor to her; the appointed time has come.”
Psalm‬ ‭118:24‬ ‭”The Lord has done it this very day; let us rejoice today and be glad.”

3. Be Accountable for everything.
Proverbs‬ ‭27:17‬ “As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.”

Galatians‬ ‭6:1-2‬ ‭”Brothers and sisters, if someone is caught in a sin, you who live by the Spirit should restore that person gently. But watch yourselves, or you also may be tempted. Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.”

4. God always watches you.
Deuteronomy 11:12 – It is a land the Lord your God cares for; the eyes of the Lord your God are continually on it from the beginning of the year to its end.
Psalm 121:8 – The Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.
Psalm‬ ‭121:4‬ ‭”indeed, he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.”

5. Meditate God’s Promises.

Joshua 1:8 “Keep this Book (Bible) of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.

6. Rejoice always, pray continually and give thanks.
‭‭1 Thessalonians‬ ‭5:16-18‬ ‭”Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”

7. Control thoughts and join in a Christian fellowship
Philippians‬ ‭4:8‬ ‭”Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.”

Join in a good Christian fellowship.

‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭1:9 “God is faithful, who has called you into fellowship with his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.”

Prayer: Abba Father, there are times in my life when I need true friends, a comforting arm, a listening ear, a shoulder to cry on or even just sensible good advice, but there are no true friends to turn to, no one who I can relate to or no one who truly understands exactly how I feel. Fill me, Lord with Your divine holy presence, allow me to feel Your tender, warm embrace wrapped around me, as I sit here and cry out to You. Lord, today I can safely say that You are my best friend as You know everything about me. You have always been there for me, to comfort, guide and correct me when I need it the most. You are always by my side, You pick me up each and every time I have fallen by the way side. You never failed me and I am assured that Your undying, never-failing, never-ending love drives me to become a better person, pushes me to want to become one with You. Lord, please bring the right people into my life, who would motivate me to become closer to You and remove the wrong ones that pull me away. Strengthen all my present friendships so that they will be based on You and Your Word. Renew the past friendships that have died, and let me be an example, leading my friends to the Lord; in Your Holy, Precious name I pray, Amen
