LEARN and PRACTICE the WORD of GOD

The personality of God

God’s special Promises to the humble

Luke 14:11 For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.”
Isaiah 66:2 For My hand made all these things, Thus all these things came into being,” declares the LORD “But to this one I will look, To him who is humble and contrite of spirit, and who trembles at My word.

Countless times throughout Bible, God gave mercy and promotion to those who humbled themselves before Him and following are the special promises

1. Saved from Affliction.
Psalm 18:27 You save the humble but bring low those whose eyes are haughty.
God promises to save those who are humble. When we align our hearts with God, we will find the strength we need to overcome any trial.

2. He Guides and He Teaches.
Psalm 25:9 He guides the humble in what is right and teaches them his way.
As we humble ourselves before God, we will find that God reveals to us where we should go. Sometimes there is a big decision before us and other times it may just be a day by day guidance.
In humility, we open our hearts to the guidance that God seeks to provide in us. It takes surrender to truly listen and be open to God’s prompting.

3. God fill with His Grace.
Grace is mentioned most often as a promise for humility.
Proverbs 3:34 He mocks proud mockers, but gives grace to the humble.
James 4:6 …God opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble
1 Peter 5:5 God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble. –
When we forsake our pride and look to the Lord, we will receive grace. God’s grace is powerful and when we struggle, we must remember to be humble and surrender our hearts to God.

Prayer: Abba Father, I come before Your throne of grace and mercy to ask that You bring humility into my life. Allow me to not be filled with pride, jealousy or boastful gestures toward those around me. Allow my accomplishments to make me wise and not boastful or arrogant and now I understand that all my accomplishments are not the result of my effort and it is the gift of God. Apart from You, I can do nothing. Let my heart be filled with fruit of the Holy Spirit. May I be kind, gentle, generous, and forgiving as Jesus was. I cast out every evil entity that promotes pride in me by the name of Jesus. I decree and declare that I follow Jesus, I walk in the Way of Jesus and I will bear fruit of humbleness in every season. I pray by the name of Jesus.
