The personality of God

God is a living God – He hears, sees, knows, feels, wills, acts, and has a personality.

11.180 *God’s Promises of healing to the afflicted one. *

Ways to receive God’s Healing power.
 
11.180.3 Imparting blessings, authority and healing by laying on of Hands.
(Continuation from yesterday)

11.180.6 Jesus declared that His apostles will lay hands on of people.

Mark 16:17-18 And these signs will accompany those who believe: in my name they will cast out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up serpents with their hands; and if they drink any deadly poison, it will not hurt them; they will lay their hands on the sick, and they will recover.”

1.       Apostles obeyed God’s Word to lay hands…
Hebrews 6:2-3 “..instruction about cleansing rites, the laying on of hands, the resurrection of the dead, and eternal judgment. And God permitting,we will do so.

2.       *Ananias laid hand on Saul and Saul received Holy Spirit. *
Acts 9:17 So Ananias departed and entered the house. And laying his hands on him he said, “Brother Saul, the Lord Jesus who appeared to you on the road by which you came has sent me so that you may regain your sight and be filled with the Holy Spirit.”

3.       *Paul laid hands imparted Holy Spirit. *
Acts 19:6 And when Paul had laid his hands on them, the Holy Spirit came on them, and they began speaking in tongues and prophesying.
Acts 28:8 It happened that the father of Publius lay sick with fever and dysentery. And Paul visited him and prayed, and putting his hands on him healed him.

4.       *Simeon, Lucius of Cyrene, Manaen  laid hands over Barnabas and Saul. *
Acts 13:2-3 While they were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, “Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.” Then after fasting and praying they laid their hands on them and sent them off.

5.            Peter and John laid and hands and imparted Holy Spirit over the people.
Acts 8:17 Then Peter and John placed their hands on them, and they received the Holy Spirit.

6.       Hankerchiefs and aprons that had touched Paul became an instrument to heal people.
Acts 19:11 God did extraordinary miracles through Paul, so that even handkerchiefs and aprons that had touched him were taken to the sick, and their illnesses were cured and the evil spirits left them.

7. *Paul threw himself on Eutychus dead body and put his arms around him. He raised. *
Acts‬ ‭20:9-10,12 “Seated in a window was a young man named Eutychus, who was sinking into a deep sleep as Paul talked on and on. When he was sound asleep, he fell to the ground from the third story and was picked up dead. Paul went down, threw himself on the young man and put his arms around him. “Don’t be alarmed,” he said. “He’s alive!” The people took the young man home alive and were greatly comforted.

*Sign on the cross is a seal of victory. *
The Cross is a symbol representing Christ’s victory over sin and death. The sign of the cross by an elder on others or by self with the right-hand in the forehead is also ‘a seal of victory’.

In summary, the laying on of hands is a doctrine often-overlooked but it is one of the foundational biblical truth. It started in Old Testament, Jesus clearly demonstrated and He asked Apostles to do the same and James Apostle asked elders of the church also to do the same.

Prayer : Abba Father, I thank you for everything You have given to in my life. Let You will fulfill in our life. Guard us from the evil one, deliver us from every evil work and preserve us in Your heavenly kingdom. By Your mercy, compassion and love :-
+ I decree and declare that no weapon formed against me will prosper.
+ I decree and declare that I am an overcomer and more than a conqueror through Your son Jesus Christ.
+ I decree and declare that I trust in Jesus, and I follow Jesus so that the gifts and fruits of the Holy Spirit will overflow in me.
+ I decree and declare that my GOD supply all my need according to His riches to glorify Jesus.
*+ I decree and declare that I will prosper in all things by the grace of Jesus. *
*+ I decree and declare that I never be sick and I am healed by the stripes of Jesus Christ. *
*+ I decree and declare that my God Jesus will sustain me, raise me, encourage me and empower me to receive His promised and complete healing, deliverance and blessings in the NAME of JESUS and by the WORK of the HOLY SPIRIT in me. I pray by the name of Jesus. Amen. *
