LEARN and PRACTICE the WORD of GOD

The personality of God

Inner wounds and healing- Insecurity

Reasons for insecurity.
(Continuation from yesterday)

2. Dissatisfaction with God’s work.
Insecurity is often nothing more than grumbling for better manna.

1 Timothy 6:9 “Those who want to get rich fall into temptation and a trap and into many foolish and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction.”

Our dissatisfaction with self is often nothing more than our dissatisfaction with God.

Insecurity is not sin primarily because it is an insult to our value (though it is), but because it is an insult to God’s wisdom.

How to Overcome Dissatisfaction

1. God is sovereign, and He is in control of your life.
We can’t look at God by our own intellect.
Jeremiah 27:5 With my great strength and powerful arm I made the earth and all its people and every animal. I can give these things of Mine to anyone I choose.

2. Wait for the Lord and God is faithful. He will always do what is best for us.
Lord must wait for you to come to Him so He can show you His love and compassion. For the LORD is a faithful God. Blessed are those who wait for His help.
Isaiah 30:18 “Yet the Lord longs to be gracious to you; therefore he will rise up to show you compassion. For the Lord is a God of justice. Blessed are all who wait for him!”

3. God knows everything in your life including every hair in the head.
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭10:30-31‬ ‭ And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. So don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.”

‭‭4. Decide to trust Christ more than yourself.
Decide to follow Christ and surrender to His Will. Ask Jesus for the grace to remain faithful to this decision. In your weakness, rely on His strength.
Acts‬ ‭16:31‬ ‭ “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved—you and your household.”

5. Begin each day with prayer, praise and worship.
Give praise and thanksgiving to God. Thank Him for seeing you safely through the night and granting you the blessings of a new day. Ask His help to live the day conformed to His plan for you. Offer all your efforts to His greater glory.

6. Invite the Lord for every work including the day to day work.
‭‭1 Thessalonians‬ ‭5:18‬ “give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”
Throughout the day, ask God to help you to see the people He places in your path, to know and understand His purpose in the encounter, and the courage to do as He asks. Seek to help those in need, kind to all, returning patience for anger. Live your faith in joy. At the beginning and end of each day, ask for His protection, wisdom, correction and consolation

7. Take an inventory of events that dissatisfy you and either overcome them or avoid the same from your life.
Be encouraged by your successes and resolve to correct your failings by God’s grace. When the opportunity arises, be ready to share with all the reason for your joyful faith.

Prayer: Dear Abba Father I come to You and pleading for You to restore my soul; revive my heart and lead me along the right path for the future for so much in life has become a dissatisfaction and I know that I have strayed far from You. Thank You Lord for reminding me that my citizenship is in heaven and that the things of this world will only cause me dissatisfaction and distress. I reject the spirit of dissatisfaction. Let me like a tree that has been planted by the flowing rivers of life and let me sink my roots deeply into You Lord Jesus, knowing that my hope is in You alone… Fill me I pray with all hope and joy in believing and may I draw ever closer to You that by the power of the Holy Spirit, in Jesus name I pray, Amen.
