(Continuation from yesterday..)

10. *Memorize Bible verses, meditate continuously and let the Word transform to our life. *

‭‭

* Psalm 102:1-7
* Jeremiah 1:8
* Hebrews 13:5
* Romans 8:31
* Romans 8:37

How to memorize Bible verses?

1. Start with passages you’re already familiar with.
2. Understand the verse in context and visualize it.
3. Work on one verse at a time and do not try to memories multiple verses.
4. First, write the verse in your own words. Engage with the text, and try to summarize what the verse is saying in your own meaning.
5. Divide the verse into different phase and memories and each phase.
6. Write the verse on an index card so easily can refer it at any time and anywhere.
7. Break down the verse in shorter portions and memories.
8. Read the verses several times throughout the day.
9. Go to a quiet place, where you won’t be interrupted by others and concentrate on the verses.
10. Ask God to help you to understand.
11. Link the verses with music.
12. Memorize the reference by linking numbers.
13. Repeat the verse out loud. Vary the speeds of your recitation. Focus on pronouncing each word clearly.
14. Focus on the key words. If you are memorizing John 3:16, “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son and that whoever believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life”, the key words would be “God”, “loved”, “world”, “Son”, “whoever”, “believes”, “perish”, “eternal”, and “life”. Now put them back together with the whole verse.
15. Play a memory game. Using dry-erase markers, write the verse on a dry-erase board. Make sure you can read what you wrote. Read the verse a few times, then erase 2 words at a time. Keep saying the verse until all the words are erased. If you were able to say the verse perfectly with no words on the board, give yourself a pat on the back.
16. Write the verses with different colored markers. Post these around your room in places you go most (your bed, above youur light switch, your bathroom mirror, etc.)
17. Record yourself reading the verses with different voice. Listen and follow along while you’re driving, working out, or cleaning.
18. Write the first letter of each word in the verse or a hint, look at the letters or hint instead of the full verse.
19. Use the stacking method. Stack small drawings or pictures that represent different keywords in the verse. This can help you to visualize the verse, even when you aren’t looking at the pictures.
20. Write the verse by hand with different format – Highlight Names and Underline Places, different color on Old and new Testament etc
21. Memorize for five minutes, and then take a break. This allows your brain to relax after the mental exercise.
22. Link verses with certain events
23. Set your computer and phone background images with verses. You’ll be surprised by how quickly you have it memorized.
24. Memorizing verses is good for mind exercise and it will make you more efficient reader of theology.
25. In summary – what you forget, memorize them more.

Prayer: Abba Father, I pray that you would move the Spirit more boldly in my life. I know that any sin can grieve and diminish the voice of the Spirit, and I pray against the temptation to sin. I pray for guidance from your Spirit- let your will and promises always be a meditation of my heart. Lord, I’m here today with open hands and an open heart, ready to depend on you to help me through the day and all it will bring my way. Help me be like the apostles, help me come to you for guidance, strength, provision and protection. As I face loneliness which is a hard situation, help me remember my belovedness, help me remember that I am Your child and Your representative to the world around me. Help me live today in a way that brings honor to Your holy name. I pray In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
